I am very thankful for the support of my clients some have said the following:

“We asked Hugo to help examine Axelisys’ policies and procedures with a view to improving them as an independent eye. Hugo provided valuable insight on easier-to-read codes of conduct, charters and helped pinpoint areas of our existing policies that could do with simplifying. It was this insight and the attention to detail that impressed us. Hugo has a really keen eye for detail and a wealth of experience in this area, that is essential in good policy management. It was these two skills that led us to include him as a regular member of our new Open Policies initiative. It’s rare you find someone who actively enjoys writing and reviewing policies. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hugo for this sort of work and as you can tell, we are already using him again.”

Ethar Alali, Managing Director, Axelisys Limited

Hugo joined us at the Manchester Digital Laboratory (MadLab) to support our financial readiness programme. I have found him to be a hard-working, highly capable and dependable member of the team. Beyond his original remit, Hugo took the initiative to bring his extensive experience to policy definition and has made major contributions to the shape and direction of the organisation. Unassuming, quietly competent and highly efficient, Hugo is a great person to work with, both professionally and socially.

Dave Mee – Director

Hugo is highly skilled, dedicated and hard working. He has an excellent eye for detail and understanding of matters both financial and legal. He is a highly motivated professional, able to take on new ideas and quickly and apply them. He has a wide range of experience in the voluntary sector, I highly recommend him.

I have contributed to an article by Ralph Jones published on the 25 March 2020 on the UnderPinned Website about guidelines that employers should consider when hiring freelancers.

In December 2019 I was interviewed by Katy Carlisle from the Freelance Folk, I spoke about going freelance and the wonderful community that I have become part of. It is really worth joining groups like Freelance Folk as they are not only an amazing fountain of knowledge but also have become firm friends. I was attending there co-working events long before I became a freelancer.
